Dr. Marissa Ryan
Dr. Ryan has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. After completing her B.S. in Biology magna cum laude at State University of New York, Oswego, and her Master’s in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis, Marissa went into research. However, a deep desire to pursue a profession that focused on caring for others drew her to dentistry and the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated summa cum laude and was the recipient of several awards, including the Tufts University Merit Scholarship and the Tufts University Award for Exceptional Chairside Manner. She was also elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, and is a member of Sigma XI, the National Research Honor Society.
Dr. Ryan’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, Pankey Institute, and Casco Bay Study Club, an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club. She has been involved in dental mission trips to Guatemala and has worked for several years as a volunteer dentist at the Root Cellar Dental Clinic in Portland. Her pride and joy in her life are her two amazing daughters, Julia and Natalie. She, and her husband, Bill, love to travel, taking the girls everywhere with them. They enjoy everything about Maine, from skiing to surfing to hiking. They consider themselves incredibly lucky to call the state of Maine their home.
Dr. Lydia Stegemann
Dr. Lydia Stegemann grew up in Southern Maine. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of New Hampshire and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where she graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors society. She then continued on at Tufts to complete a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency.
Dr. Stegemann is passionate about building strong patient relationships and creating individualized treatments that help foster a trusting and comfortable patient experience. She is dedicated to continued learning about new dental techniques and technologies in order to provide the highest quality care. She holds memberships with the American Dental Association and the American Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Stegemann is beyond excited to return to her home state to practice.
Christie Somma, Dental Hygienist
Christie has been practicing dental hygiene with Dr. Ryan for 13 years! It's no secret that Christie loves being part of the Ryan Dental team, and when we asked her the best part of the job, she answered with an enthusiastic "my PATIENTS!"
Outside of work, Christie is happy anywhere she gets to spend time with her husband and 5 kids.

Sarah Travers, Office Manager
Sarah has been working with Dr. Ryan since 2016, and has been in the the dental field since 2006. While she is passionate about creating a positive experience for every patient, her secret talent is helping folks handle complicated issues with ease - from scheduling to insurance - and everything in between! Sarah says the best part about the RDP team is the shared enthusiasm for providing high quality, honest dental care while building strong relationships with patients. And the best part, she says: “we have fun doing it!”
Sarah lives in Scarborough with her husband and two daughters, and enjoys home projects, beach walks, and a spin class whenever she can sneak one in.
Lindsay Eaton, Patient Care Coordinator
Lindsay works at the front desk assisting patients with scheduling, insurance, and anything else they may need! She truly knows all of our wonderful patients, and with her background in dental assisting is able to answer any questions you may have. Lindsay lives in Portland with her fiancé Sam, cat Ron, and travels to Midcoast Maine to be with her family any chance she gets. Lindsay is your girl if you ever want kayaking, camping, fishing, or hiking tips.
Jeanne McKew, Dental Hygienist
If you know Dr. Ryan, you probably know Jeanne, as she has been with Dr. Ryan since she first moved to Maine, and has been a dental hygienist for 30+ years! She is an expert at building lasting relationships and, like the rest of our team, she truly cares.
Away from work, Jeanne loves traveling with her husband as much as possible. You might even see her out on the trails, since she is a regular runner and hiker.
Sherri French, Dental Assistant
Sherri is one of our amazing Dental Assistants.
A true Mainer, Sherri loves being outside with all that Maine has to offer. Everyone knows she loves developing lasting relationships with our incredible patients, but did you know she’s also an ordained Interfaith Chaplain and Reiki Master Practitioner? Cool!
Baylee Fleming, Dental Hygienist
Baylee returned to Maine after college and has loved being back and getting to work as a Dental Hygienist at Ryan Dental! She especially enjoys hearing patients’ favorite things to do around the state - and getting ideas for her own adventures! When she’s not at work or studying for her Masters in Dental Hygiene, Baylee is headed to the beach or down to Boston for the weekend.
Allison Pribish, Dental Hygienist
Alli is a dental hygienist who loves building genuine lasting relationships with her patients - and cleaning teeth, of course!
She grew up in a small town in Vermont, in an area known as The Northeast Kingdom, and now enjoys exploring Portland's trails and finding treasures at the beach with her 3 kids, husband, and dog by her side. Alli is also an avid reader and loves to tend her flower gardens in the warmer months.
Mollie Harris, Dental Assistant
Mollie is our rockstar dental assistant trained to work with both of our doctors! Our patients love her compassion, calming demeanor, and clever sense of humor. She is also our resident flower guru, keeping our office orchids in perfect bloom.
Outside of work, Mollie runs a goat farm with her fiancé. Along with their two dogs, Auggie and Lulu, they have 30 goats. Ask her for pictures, you won't regret it!
Julia Cote, Dental Assistant
As one of Ryan Dental’s wonderful Dental Assistants, Julia loves working alongside an amazing team to help patients maintain a healthy smile! When she’s not at the office, you’ll find her hiking the nearest mountaintop, swimming in the ocean, rockhounding in the summer, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Doug. You might even spot her performing a wedding ceremony, as she’s an ordained minister, too!
Lindsey Berlin, Clinical Assistant
Lindsey is our resident "jack of all trades.” She’s here to sterilize, stock and manage supply ordering - and she can even step in as a dental assistant in a pinch. That's right - she does it all! Lindsey is our go-to for movie recommendations. She tries to see every movie nominated for best picture at the Oscars every year - so make sure to ask her next time you are looking for something new to watch.
Jeanne Cook, Dental Hygienist
Jeanne is one of the amazing Dental Hygienists at Ryan Dental Partners! Passionate about educating patients on the relationship between oral and systemic health, she loves learning in her free time and is always up on the latest advances in medicine. She also loves to hike, snow shoe, and explore hidden gems along the Maine coast. Heading north or south on Route 1 with no destination in mind and seeing what she finds is one of her favorite pastimes.
Brie Bodah, Dental Hygienist
Brie is one of the amazing Dental Hygienists at Ryan Dental Partners and has been a practicing dental hygienist for over 17 years. Brie says her goal is to provide the highest level of care and professionalism mixed with a healthy mixture of fun and laughter, and we can tell she has mastered that, as she always makes patients feel at ease. Brie and her husband, Zach, their two kids, Wren and Ozzie, and their chocolate lab, Mavis, are all ocean lovers. When not at the beach, they can be found hiking, enjoying music, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.
